Purchase Policy
Our goal at NIC is to make your purchasing process as efficient and simple as
possible. The following purchase policies are designed to ensure your satisfaction and understanding
of the purchase process at NIC. By clicking the "Place Order" button to make NIC MAP®, Publications
or Executive Circle purchases in the
NIC Store
or by completing an Event Registration, you are agreeing to the terms of this policy.
Payment Methods
NIC currently accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover cards. If you would prefer to
pay by company check, please contact the NIC office at 410-267-0504 or
mail@nic.org
to receive an order form.
Privacy
Financial information that is collected is used only to check your qualifications and bill you for products
and services. When you make a purchase on the Site, your consent is given to provide your financial
or contact information to those third parties necessary to process your transactions with us, such as
credit card parties to process your transactions.
State Taxes
Maryland residents will be charged 6% sales tax on all purchases made through the NIC Site. If you are
a Maryland resident and have been charged tax on services, such as Event registration and Executive
Circle subscriptions (rather than a product purchase), your account will be credited for the taxed amount.
Publications
Shipping dates and charges are based on the shipping method you choose during the check out process.
Our current shipping rates (per item) are:
- USPS Priority Mail - $5.50
- 2nd Day Service - $13.50
- Overnight Service - $23.50
- International Service - $23.50
Orders received after 2:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) will be shipped the following workday.
