Annapolis, Md. – Lawrence J. Horan, Ph.D., has joined the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry (NIC) as its new financial research and analysis director, as announced today by the nonprofit organization. In this position, Dr. Horan will lead the research efforts of both NIC and its NIC Market Area Profiles (NIC MAP™) data and analysis service, which tracks properties in the nation’s top 100 metropolitan markets.
“With our continued expanded research in NIC MAP, we needed to find someone who possessed the unique combination of a background in economics and real estate with a heavy focus on financial metrics,” said Robert G. Kramer, president of NIC. “I’m pleased to say that with Larry, we have found such an individual. His addition to our team will increase the level of available research most valued by seniors housing and care financiers and providers.”
Dr. Horan came from Parker/Hunter Inc. (now Janney Montgomery Scott), where he was senior vice president and director of the Equity Research Department since 1999.
