Annapolis, Md. (September 14, 2017) –Eldermark Software is the first software provider to deliver reports that enable its clients to easily contribute data to the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) Actual Rates Initiative, delivering on commitments first made to clients in 2016.  The Actual Rates Initiative is a hallmark, priority program for NIC to increase financial transparency of seniors housing by collecting in-place rates, move-in rates, asking rates, move-ins, move-outs, and other metrics from contributing operators. The new Eldermark report will be in a consistent, exportable format that can be securely transferred to NIC and incorporated into aggregate reporting on the industry.

“Eldermark is the first software provider to complete building and testing NIC Actual Rates reporting within its product, and we commend them on this great achievement. Joint efforts with strategic partners like Eldermark help strengthen the industry by allowing operators to easily participate in the Actual Rates Initiative,” said Brian Jurutka, president and CEO of NIC. “We hope Eldermark’s announcement will serve as a catalyst for other software providers to participate in this important industry initiative.”

Software providers like Eldermark are instrumental to the management of operating seniors housing properties and the care of the communities’ residents. Data initiatives like Actual Rates improve transparency and allow investors, lenders, and operators to understand risks and identify opportunities in seniors housing and care. These programs enable the appropriate amount of investment, and ultimately lead to options and choice for seniors and their families.
