Mr. Will began his career with the predecessor company to CBRE Capital Markets and helped launch the senior housing debt practice for the firm. In 2016, Mr. Will was named the youngest Vice Chairman in company history. Today, Mr. Will co-heads Senior Housing for CBRE Capital Markets. His specialty is the capitalization of 55+/Active Adult, Independent Living, Assisted Living, Alzheimer’s Care and Skilled Nursing facilities. Mr. Will’s responsibility is leading the Investment Sales, Mortgage Banking and Equity Capital Markets. Over the past 17 years, Mr. Will’s DSF team closed approximately $14.7+ billion in debt and equity for this specialty type and is one of the few real estate investment advisors whose platform includes: Fannie Mae (DUS certified lender), Freddie Mac (seller/servicer) and HUD/FHA, along with all the traditional lending sources, including several proprietary debt fund platforms. CBRE Senior Housing has been a Top 3 senior housing originator from 2010 through 2022. Since 2014, the team has originated over $22.8B of combined senior housing sales, debt, and capital raising mandates nationwide. In 2016 and 2019, CBRE was Fannie Mae’s #1 senior housing originator in the country. CBRE was the #1 GSE lender in the nation in 2022 with $13.2 billion in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac originations. In addition to permanent debt placement and construction financing, the team has helped structure joint ventures between seasoned operators and institutional partners and has also sourced equity for development and acquisitions on a project specific and programmatic basis. Mr. Will received his B.B.A. in Finance from Southern Methodist University, where he graduated as a Distinguished BBA Scholar. He currently serves as an Executive Board Member of American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA).
Mr. Will currently is a Board Member, Executive Committee Member and serves as the Assistant Treasurer of NIC. He previously served on the Freddie Mac Senior Housing Advisory Board. Mr. Will serves as a member of the ULI Senior Housing Council (SHC). Mr. Will currently serves on the Alumni Board and Capital Campaign Committee for Annunciation Orthodox School (AOS), a private school located in Houston, Texas. Mr. Will is the immediate past Board President and current Board Member of Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance, a local Houston charity benefiting families whose children are undergoing cancer treatment in the Texas Medical Center. Mr. Will was recently appointed as the first non-clinician on the ILADEF Board, a global Lyme disease related non-for-profit promoting medical education and research.
