Jonathan Schatz

Jonathan Schatz is the President of Coastwood, an investment partnership focused on Senior Housing, and is a Board Director at Discovery Senior Living. Previously, he founded Permanence Partners, a search fund targeting Senior Housing, which he spun out of his prior fund, Pacific Lake Partners, where he was a Private Equity investor. At Pacific Lake, Jonathan backed dozens of search fund entrepreneurs, invested in healthcare, enterprise software, and services businesses, and served on several privately held boards. Jonathan has tech experience at Apple, Invoice2Go, at Cooley LLP, and as an angel investor. Jonathan worked in financial services in Shanghai and as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ghana. He holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, a JD from Stanford Law School, and a BA from Duke University. He is a member of the California Bar and is a member of YPO. Jonathan lives with his wife and daughter in Palo Alto, California.
