Kristopher Woolley

Founder & CEO / Avista Senior Living

Kristopher (Kris) Woolley is the Founder & CEO of Avista Senior Living (Avista). Avista is a Mesa, Arizona based owner/operator of Assisted Living and Memory Care communities with a current portfolio of seven communities (totaling 781 licensed beds) in Arizona and Utah.

Prior to founding Avista, Kris was a Principal and Managing Director at Greystar Real Estate Partners, a national owner/operator of apartment communities.  To begin his career, Kris spent four years with Goldman Sachs in New York City and San Francisco, working in the Investment Banking and Equities divisions. Kris left Goldman Sachs to attend Harvard Business School, where he earned a Masters of Business Administration. Raised in Southern California, Kris attended UCLA and Brigham Young University, graduating from BYU with honors in Finance and Political Science. After his freshman year at UCLA, he spent two years serving a mission for his church in Argentina. He speaks Spanish fluently and has a great passion for the Spanish language and Argentina.

Kris has dedicated significant time and resources to various local non-profit organizations, including most recently as Board Member for UMOM New Day Centers (Arizona’s largest homeless shelter for families), and as the Chairman of the Housing and Community Development Advisory Board for the City of Mesa. He is an Eagle Scout and has been an active leader in the Boy Scouts of America for most of his adult life. Kris and his wife, Heather, reside in Mesa, where they are raising five children.
