Serena Lipton, MMH, CSHIP, serves as the NIC Academy Programs Manager at the National Investment Center for Senior Housing & Care (NIC). In her role, Ms. Lipton collaborates with senior living industry leaders to develop educational platforms and content that serve the senior housing sector.
Prior to joining NIC, Ms. Lipton worked as a Private Equity Associate with Artemis Real Estate Partners’ healthcare business, where she supported asset management activities across the healthcare platform with a focus on seniors housing. She also has experience as an analyst with JLL and CBRE’s Senior Housing Valuation & Advisory Services. Additionally, Ms. Lipton was a regular contributor to PBS's Next Avenue, a public media journalism service for America’s 50+ population.
Ms. Lipton earned a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Administration (’18) and a Master's in Senior Living (’23), both from Boston University’s School of Hospitality Administration. She contributed to the creation and development of the Senior Living track as a member of its first graduate cohort. Ms. Lipton also serves on the board of directors for MASS-SALC (Massachusetts Senior and Assisted Living Communities Foundation), supporting the Massachusetts Assisted Living Association (MASS-ALA) through research, education, and workforce development.
