Michael Kurliand serves as Vice President of Clinical Quality and Integration at MedWand Solutions, is a senior healthcare leader, telehealth and digital health expert, and care model strategist with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. He has extensive experience in program execution, operations, and business development for pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations across the acute, ambulatory, post-acute, long-term care, and home-based sectors. He has led numerous implementations of electronic health records and various telehealth technology for major hospital systems such as University of Pennsylvania Health System and Nemours Children’s Health.
In his current role as Vice President of Clinical Quality and Integration at MedWand Solutions, Michael ensures ensures the organization meets clinical and regulatory standards and leads customer implementation and integration. MedWand is an innovative multi-sensor telehealth platform that allows for a more complete physical examination. Michael has previously served as Director of Telehealth and Process Improvement at West Health Institute where he provided leadership and expertise to organizations that serve older adults and co-developed the nation’s first Center of Excellence for Telehealth and Aging.
Michael received his ADN and BSN at Drexel University School of Nursing. As a Registered Nurse, Michael specialized in oncology, medical and emergency psychiatry. As a front-line clinician Michael worked in small community hospitals as well as large multihospital systems. Michael went on to receive his master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University in Organizational Dynamics and Strategic Human Resources and certifications in Nursing Informatics and Product Management. Michael also chairs the California Telehealth Coalition Education Committee and has co-authored publications and technical papers about telehealth.
