Mrs. Carvajal is a leading innovator in the senior housing industry. As founder and CEO, she oversees the company’s operations and growth, with deep experience managing businesses that blend affordability, residential, and healthcare services. She excels in using government subsidy programs for fixed-income seniors and is committed to providing innovative solutions for middle-income seniors. Her vision is to make the middle market mainstream by developing services to meet this demographic’s needs.
Before founding Innovation Senior Living, Mrs. Carvajal was the COO for Mia Senior Living Solutions, leading the nationwide expansion of affordable assisted living and adult day programs. Earlier in her career, she worked as a management consultant for Accenture in New York City.
Mrs. Carvajal holds a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College. She is a Goldman Sachs 10000 Small Business Program alumni and a graduate of Miami and Winter Park Chamber of Commerce Leadership. She currently serves on the Florida Senior Living Association (FSLA) Board and the Senior Living 100 Advisory Board. In 2019, she was inducted into the McKnight’s Women of Distinction Hall of Honor.
A frequent speaker on middle-market senior living, Mrs. Carvajal has appeared at events hosted by the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC), Senior Living 100, Argentum, and the Urban Land Institute, among others.
Mrs. Carvajal is passionate about education, arts, and culture and is an avid art collector. She enjoys traveling the world with her husband, son, and daughter. Additionally, she sits on the Board of Trustees for Opera Orlando and mentors disadvantaged young women through Support Our Scholars, providing both financial and emotional support during their college journey.
