Most recently, Randy, along with his wife Susan, founded 0924 Investments, LLC – The Bufford Family Office. Their core strategy is built around investing in people and businesses that align with their values, vision, and purpose of serving others; first. 0924 supports entities in philanthropy through The Bufford Family Foundation and provides direct investments in healthcare, early childhood education and related operating businesses, along with private equity/angel opportunities. In 1997, he founded Louisville, KY based Trilogy Health Services, LLC which is a $2.5B enterprise value owner, operator, and developer of over 125 senior living communities throughout the Midwest. His emphasis on a servant leadership culture is the cornerstone of the Trilogy culture. He has also launched ancillary service companies that serve over 50,000 customers today providing pharmacy, rehabilitation and lab services. Before stepping down as Trilogy’s CEO the company was honored to be the only senior living company to have been named to Glassdoor’s 100 large employers in 2020.
Randy also has the honor of being named one of Glassdoor’s Top 100 CEOs in the U.S. in 2018 and 2019, and in 2021 he was inducted into the Kentucky Entrepreneur Hall of Fame. Randy is a dedicated supporter and former Trustee of the University of Louisville where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce/Accounting in 1981. He served as head manager of UofL’s 1980 national championship winning men’s basketball team. In 2015, Randy was inducted into the University’s College of Business Entrepreneurship Circle of Fame. Randy resides with his wife in Louisville, KY. Together they have three sons, and four grandsons and a four-legged daughter, Sasha.
